Many employers strive to identify workplace hazards and evaluate risks but often fall short of OSHAs stringent regulatory requirements. Identifying each and every workplace hazard, especially those hazards that arent readily apparent or obvious, is a difficult task. However, hazard identification is critically important, as it is the first step employers must take to control and prevent workplace hazards. Separate and apart from the hazards inherent to an employers workplace or jobsite, employers must implement measures to mitigate the risk of COVID19. This topic will provide employers with a comprehensive overview of how to recognize and address workplace hazards, including an overview of the most common hazards that remain a focal point for OSHA, such as personal protective equipment, walkingworking surfaces, chemical safety, and electrical hazards under Subpart S.
